Pam's Special Day

It is Pams birthday today, and I wanted to give her a very special card. A design that I have never done before, and that I had been tutored on at a craft demo a couple of weeks ago (see my other blog)
I took a standard card blank with envelope, and folded the front and back leaves back on themselves.
I then used a circular cutter to remove the centre and add the cutaway corner effect.
The centre circle was cut from silver mirri card and topped with matching backing paper to what had been used on the side panels.
Some peel off stickers finished the effect. The centre disc was then suspended in the centre of the cut out using matching embroidery cotton. This cotton was then hidden using some of the hearts from the papers.
Happy Birthday Pam. I hope you have a great day xx

For Tracey

It was my lovely friend Tracey's birthday last week. She is a constant source of inspiration for me, and is an avid crafter herself.
I did this lovely little girl for her, and was really please with how well the card came out and how special it looked when it was completed.
Happy Birthday Tracey x

A Bear for Karen

It's Paul's sisters birthday, and I put this together especially for her

It's an offset pyrimage set on an A5 card with matching backing papers and gold mat.

The insert matches the external of the card, however the picture is a little muzzy - sorry

For Barney

My boss has had to go into hospital for a couple of operations, that will be staggered by 3 weeks apart.
He is certainly the life and soul of the office when he comes in to see us, and we are missing him while he is off..... He is such a sweetie.
I put this A5 card together so that we could all sign it and get it off to him.
The dotty background covers a white card blank, and there is a deep navy velvet ribbon down the left hand side.
The wording are rub ons, that were placed onto black mats (I did not have any navy) and they sit on 3d foam to give a raised effect.
The image is from my lovely Popcorn Bear Men's CD-ROM.

Congratulations Cards

I had printed these images before my printer went dry. I had been given them by a friend and wanted to make use of them a few more times as they are so lovely

By only using the words Congratulations, I have left the door open for them to be used as a Wedding card or an Engagement card. The appropriate wording can be added to the insert, once it is needed.

Back in Time - A speedy card

Backing paper and peel offs is all this card took, and although its what I call a 'cop out' card, as there is very little involved in creating it, the effect is quite good.

When I first started to card make this is pretty much the sort of thing that I created. All it needs is a name adding to it and it's ready to go.

Thanks

I had this lovely pastel green polka dot paper left from a previous project and decided that it went well with my flutterby's and dragonfly's.
A dot of glitter glue on the flutterby's body was the finishing touch.

The Love Bug

You can't live in Cornwall, and not do a card like this at some point - I love them.... they look so effective in reality.

Flutterby Love

I want my printer ink ..... Please deliver it soon! LOL

Simple variations

So.... I'm still without my printer ink as it's not arrived yet, and and so, I'm using more embellishments and papers up that I already have.

I think maybe that the lilac backing papers I used across the centre of the cards is a little too close a match to the backing card, but they are still quite effective.

3 Times Dolly Daydream

My printer ink ran out! Horror of horrors. And so I had to amuse myself with the oddments that I already have in my craft box.
These cute little dollies are part of the result, amongst many others.
I had 3 of them left, and therefore made variations on a theme for each card.
They are sweet little cards - lovely for a little girl, and believe it or not, I've already sold one so they must be OK LOL!

Lilac Love

This lovely lilac chap, was just the job for my friend - once I had layered him up and placed him over the backing papered card blank, he looked smashing.

Lazy Day Fishing

I made this for my boss. His birthday is very imminent, and as he loves fishing, I thought I'd do this for him, once again from my Popcorn The Bear CD-ROM.
You must be finding all these bear cards very boring, but I have to try all of the images out, as I have them LOL!
